Description
  • Responsible to download VMS payment files and identify proper application of payments to ensure timely and accurate posting of payments and identify potential fraud risks.
  • Collect and research incoming unidentified cash daily with goal of applying cash to correct invoice by end of business day.
  • Check for potential billing issues before payments are received.
  • Download all VMS files received daily.
  • Identify proper cash application of each line item on VMS file with the goal of applying cash to correct invoice by the end of the business day.
  • Provide cash application analysts and research analysts with correct and clear information that will enable them to apply the payments.
  • Promptly alert appropriate members of management of potential fraud found through the research and posting process.
  • Help accounts receivable staff with routine cash posting as needed.
  • Assist with processing exceptions as needed.
  • Contact customers/end debtors in order to reconcile remittance differences.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions as required.
  • Accurate and timely completion of required reports.
  • Assist with audit and year-end prep.
  • Maintains acceptable levels of quality and quantity of work.
  • Properly identifies fraud risks and notifies appropriate personnel same day.

  • Timely and accurate completion of tasks is maintained in organized, effective, and positive manner.
  • All duties are implemented in a manner to support company policies and procedures and enhance teamwork.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/related discipline.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles is a plus. Ability to manage own workload to meet daily deadlines in high volume environment. Strong attention to detail.
