In ITIL Change Management, all Changes to the IT infrastructure and its components (Configuration Items) are authorized and documented, in order to ensure that interruptive effects upon the running operation are kept to a minimum. The implementation steps are planned and communicated, in order to recognize potential side-effects as early as possible. The Change Analyst/Manager and the Change Review Board (CRB) bear the responsibility for this and provide templates and guidance for the authorization of Changes, and to supply the other IT Service Management processes with information on planned and ongoing Changes.

The IT Change Analyst controls the lifecycle of all Changes to IT environments. The IT Change Analyst’s primary objective is to enable beneficial Changes to be made, with minimum disruption to IT services. For important Changes, the Change Manager will refer the authorization of Changes to the Change Review Board (CRB).

  • Support and execute enterprise wide initiatives to mature change and release managements procedures and operations.

  • Own and set rules for handling analysis of Change Requests which includes performing risk assessments on pending change requests with the goal to minimize risk of changes.

  • Ensures the quality and timelines of Changes into our test and production environments.

  • Authorize, reject, cancel or close Change Requests following defined quality audit controls.

  • Respond timely to urgent or emergency Change Requests.

  • Respond timely to questions from all stakeholder groups.

  • Prepare and provide change management training as needed or when planned.

  • Governs and maintains Change Request system of record: ServiceNow.Ensures linkages to other Service Support Processes: Incident, Problem, and ReleaseCoordinates and communicates change release schedules.Works in close partnership with internal partners within Change Management to ensure Change schedules are met

  • Review, coordinate and schedule changes that require system and end user downtime.

  • Works with other process owners internal and external to the Information Technology organization to ensure efficient integration of business processes with Change Management process.

  • Works with various Information Technology (IT) departments and Internal Audit to conduct and manage the Change Management audit activities associated with 404 testing, Financial Year End Audit, and SAS70 Audits for MMS, 401k, and Core Payroll. Documents Results.

  • Manages stakeholder involvement and accountability in Change Management Meetings.Determines Change Review Board members based on Change Requests to be discussed.

  • Prepares for, conducts, and documents Change Planning Team Meetings.

  • Prepares for and chair/facilitates Change management User Group Meetings (CRB: Change Review Boards).

  • Regularly measures, monitors and assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of the change management process.

  • Prepare and distribute Change Management metrics reporting.

  • Participates in Change Management process improvement activities by analyzing and proposing alternative approaches for improving efficiency and effectiveness of the Change Management Process.

  • Acts in the capacity of project team leader as required.

  • Escalate and make visible all non-conformance and impacting issues to leadership.

  • Participate in ServiceNow release testing.

  • Monitor, identify, submit and rollout enhancements to the Change Management tool ServiceNow, enabling Change Management best practice and quality workflows.

  • Own and maintain Enterprise Change Management documentation, training collateral, websites, repositories and distribution lists.

  • Complete small projects as needed.

Requirements
  • BS degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of Information Technology experience.

  • ITIL Foundations Certified preferred.

  • Minimum 5 year experience in ITIL Change and Release Management.

  • Technical experience in a software implementation and installation environment preferred.

  • Above average interpersonal, written and verbal communication.

  • Excellent facilitation skills, ability to influence stakeholders.

  • Experience in productively driving out risk and issues within stakeholder audiences.

  • Experience using ServiceNow, Confluence and JIRA.

  • Experience facilitating Change Control/Review Boards.
