We’re a company for sure, but we’ll feel like a community.

We’re a company for sure, but we’ll feel like a community.

At Paychex, putting good to work reflects our approach to corporate responsibility. It’s empowering our Employees through well-being, inclusion, and diversity. It’s giving back and making a positive impact in our communities. It’s serving as a good steward of the environment. It’s a commitment to ethics and doing business the right way for ourselves and our clients. It’s about everything we do to Be Paychex.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Appreciating our diversity of talent, skills, and experiences is an important part of our respect value, and one of the ways we can Be Paychex.

In 2021 we participated in United Way of Greater Rochester’s 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge designed to increase awareness of important issues and strengthen our capacity to dismantle all forms of racism. Additionally, since October 2020, our CEO Martin Mucci has been a signatory for the CEO Action for Diversity & InclusionTM pledge. This pledge demonstrates how DE&I are top priorities at the company and exemplifies the support from Paychex leadership. In addition, transparency is an important part of the DE&I and belonging journey. We are proud of the progress made so far and look forward to continued journey toward measurable and sustainable progress.

In 2022, Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York announced plans to build a state-of-the-art learning lab in Rochester, NY serving 12,000 students per year. The Paychex Junior Achievement Discovery Center will be an engaging student experience to develop work readiness, skills, career awareness, financial self-sufficiency, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Giving Back

The Paychex Charitable Foundation (the Foundation) was established in 2014 to provide monetary support to initiatives that support economic development in communities where we have operations while enhancing the quality of life for those who live and work in these communities.

$150K +

raised for the American Heart Association over the past three years by employee walk teams.

$1,546,522

in foundation-funded grants awarded in fiscal 2020, including nearly $42,000 to organizations supported and nominated by employees to supplement their team fundraising and volunteer efforts.

Sustainability & Environment

Sustainability & Environment

Being a good steward of the earth is essential for putting ‘good’ to work. Every year, we find more ways to take care of our planet and reduce the environmental impact of our operations. Whether it’s designing our facilities, reducing waste, or encouraging grassroots efforts from employees, the “Paychex Cares” mantra applies all around us too.

Inclusion

Every month, the 350 employees in our Pennsylvania regional service center come together to learn about, discuss, and celebrate their differences and unique life stories. A cross-functional inclusion and diversity committee champions the Paychex values while helping all employees feel included and a part of something bigger than their day-to-day work while providing another layer of support as they learn more about and understand each other.

Veterans Supporting Veterans

We also support employees who come together around shared interests. For example, the Paychex Veterans Focus Group consists of 18 employees with military backgrounds. The group’s mission is to recognize their fellow veterans and help the talent acquisition team attract military veterans to Paychex. The group organizes annual charity events to raise money for veteran causes, spotlights employee veterans on internal news channels and social media, celebrates employee vets on Veterans Day, and plans a virtual ruck march in the COVID-19 environment.

Balance & Well-being

The Paychex voluntary well-being program supports employees in making health a priority. It addresses the environmental and cultural factors that influence all dimensions of well-being, including physical, social-emotional, financial, community, and career.

Don’t take our word for it.
Here’s what our employees are saying.

Some of the best benefits and total rewards in the field.

Without our amazing people, we don’t create tech that our clients love. That’s why we offer comprehensive rewards like tuition, wellness, perks, discounts, events, and much more, especially remote work options you can select. We know compensation matters which is why we strive to be competitive, always. We think we’re right there at the top when it’s all added up, even without gimmicks and stunts in our cafeterias. And if people truly wanted that, we’d look into it.
